Reconnect I June Exercise

The first step to creating space within is grounding into the body and bringing awareness to what is actually present within us. This first exercise is designed to do just that. To bring you back into your body so you may sense and feel into the subtleties that arise moment-to-moment. 

You don’t need to fix anything right now. This week’s invitation is simply to notice subtle shifts in your body; small moments where it softens a little. 

Maybe it’s the warmth of the morning sun.

The sound of waves.

Music.

A slow coffee without rushing.

Laughter.

Nature.

A quiet moment where you exhale a little more deeply without even thinking about it.

Then notice the moments where tension rises, your shoulders move closer to your ears and your jaw clenches. 

Maybe it’s getting stuck in traffic.

A conflict with someone.

Noticing that your inbox is already full when you open up your computer in the morning.


📝Now write down:

– What those moments were

– How your body felt in them

– What you noticed afterwards

The invitation is to continue this exercise throughout the month of June and write down your findings from each session. I hope this exercise supports your path to get to know yourself more intimately. For now I wish you a pleasant journey inwards and I’ll check back in with you next week.
