How intuition communicates with you: ”the four clairs”

Clairaudience

You are picking up information through sounds. Your inner voice is communicating with you, you can hear your guidance.

Clairvoyance

You receive visual images as guidence. You are picking up information through images, which can be visual for you through, e.g. dreams.

Clairsentience

This is more a physical form of intuition. It's a clear feeling; many people describe it as ”gut feeling”.

Claircognizance

This is inspiration and ideas flowing into you, you can't really explain how you know it. It's a clear knowing, an inner sense. You are tuning into your ”Higher coach”.

Get to know your intuition

By getting to know your intuition, you will have a much easier time knowing what information you are picking up from someone else, what information that comes from deep within yourself, and what information is being conveyed to you. You put your EGO aside and listen more deeply within yourself.

As human beings we are very easily influenced by our surroundings, and many of the decisions we make are based on ideas about what we think we should do instead of what we choose to do because our body and soul need it.

Intuition can be a tool for you to really take time to listen to your inner voice and dare to trust your inner self. Intuition can give you signals about when it is time to stop for a moment and listen to what you actually want.

How to develop your intuition

Listening to your intuition can take time and require some practice, it's a skill you can develop. Here are a few steps you can take to be able to tune into your intuition more often.

Centering

Try to center yourself more regularly, and meanwhile you center yourself, try to focus on your emotions and senses. Practice what you hear, smell and taste. Many of us are used to overriding the way we physically feel and just pushing through from one situation to the next. Make a practice of really acknowledging the way your body feels and what it’s telling you. Scan your body throughout the day and note any tensionor sensations that you're holding, good or bad. The goal is to get more present so that you can better pick up on the subtle messages your body might be sending you:

  • What am I actually feeling?

  • Where in my body do I feel it?

  • Journal

Meditation

When your energy is diffused, it's harder to get in touch with your intuition. Because intuition arises during quieter times, spending time in silence can help you to get more in tune.

If you are not used to do meditation, don't overcomplicate it for yourself. It can be enough to sit for five minutes with no distractions. You can also use a guided meditation that you feel suits your needs.

Spending time in nature

Being outside is good for so many reasons. Spending time in nature and being mindful about its beauty and innate perfection can help you to feel more relaxed, clear out distracting thoughts, and become more present. While you are out in nature, be aware of what thoughts that come up, this could be your intuition speaking to you.
